Terms & Conditions

By accessing and using this site, you are accepting these Terms & Conditions that come into effect from your first date of use. DropCatcher.co.uk may revise these Terms & Conditions at any given time without notice. It is your responsibility to review these terms regularly to stay updated with any changes. Your continued use of the DropCatcher.co.uk website after a change implies your acceptance of this change. The contract is subject to English law, and both parties consent to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

We charge a registration fee of £29 for each domain booked with us and adhere to a policy of no cash refunds. A credit allowing another domain to be booked will be issued in the result of a domain registration not being successful.

A chase fee set by an independent drop catcher may be paid in order for them to attempt to register the domain for you. Chase fees are non-refundable. You understand that independent drop catchers operate truly independently from Drop Catcher Ltd and that they are free to set their own chase fees and chase settings and are not set by Drop Catcher.

No additional fees will be levied apart from the standard Nominet transfer fees for releasing your domain to a different registrar.

Domain monitoring credits will be void after two years unless a different agreement is in place with DropCatcher.co.uk.

Domain Renewal & Expiry Policy

Domains are subject to an annual renewal process. We will issue reminder emails 30 days, 14 days, and 1 day before your domain's expiry date. Ensure to renew your domain at least 14 days before its expiry to avoid service disruptions. If you decide not to renew your domain, please notify us at least 14 days before its expiry by submitting a support ticket. You can renew domains via the client portal.

If a domain is not renewed before its expiry date, a grace period of 30 days is allowed to renew it at the original renewal fee (you can check these fees on the client portal). After this, the domain enters a 60-day grace period, during which you can still renew your domain but with an additional redemption fee of £59. This must be requested by email before the 75th day post-expiry. After 90 days, the domain will be deleted from the register. Renewal of a domain name cannot be guaranteed by DropCatcher.co.uk.

Complaints & Escalation Procedure

At DropCatcher.co.uk, we continuously strive for excellence, but we recognise that mistakes may happen. Your feedback is invaluable for improving our service quality.

To raise a complaint about a received service, please submit a detailed complaint form to us. We promise to acknowledge your complaint within one business day and endeavour to resolve any issues within 10 working days.

If you're unsatisfied with the initial resolution of your complaint, you are free to escalate your issue to Nominet at https://www.nominet.uk/complaints/.

We strive to ensure uninterrupted site access. However, technical difficulties affecting the server, internet, or other equipment may cause temporary unavailability. DropCatcher.co.uk does not guarantee constant website availability and accepts no liability for temporary unavailability, with no refunds being made for such occurrences.

DC Plus (Independent Drop Catching)

Upon request to convert an account to a DC Plus account (only available to Nominet tag holders), the following terms apply additionally.

You warrant that you will operate truly independently from Drop Catcher Ltd and that you are free to set your own chase fees and chase settings. You agree that nothing in this agreement creates a connection to Drop Catcher Ltd.

There is no cost for monitoring a domain. Successful domain registrations will be charged at £14.50 with no limitations on domains monitored or registered. Debit balances are invoiced monthly and must be paid within 14 days. While your DC Plus account is active, you may not use your DAC allowance on any other system. You can deactivate your account with 5 days.
